A student-powered initiative advancing sustainable aerospace and drone development through interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Sustainable Building Initiative at Texas A&M is a professionally driven, student-led consultancy organized in College Station in 2025, extending the SBI chapter network that began at UT Austin. Where the founding chapter builds on the ground, the Aggie chapter builds for the air: we design, build, and fly unmanned aircraft that make infrastructure and the environment more sustainable, uniting Aggies from every academic discipline to function as a single, cohesive company.

As a student organization, SBI at Texas A&M aims to drive innovation in sustainable aerospace and empower the next generation of engineers and operators. Our mission is to provide hands-on aircraft development and flight-operations experience that delivers tangible value to our clients while building our members' practical skills.
We bridge the gap between classroom theory and professional practice, tackling the technical, environmental, and economic sides of drone development: lightweight structures, efficient electric propulsion, autonomy, safe operations, and the data our platforms bring home.
Our goal is to become the premier student-led aerospace and drone consultancy in the Brazos Valley and across Texas, expanding our fleet and advancing research in sustainable flight.
